Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)
A federal government agency, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC for short), plays a critical role in safeguarding our freedom to access information and our rights in relation to privacy, both as an individual and as a company. We joined forces with the OAIC to launch their inaugural Right to Know website to highlight people’s right to access government information. The key theme was transparency – and that was where we started when thinking about ways to brand and communicate the key messages around Your Right to Know Day. We had to make the experience of going to a government website interesting and fun. The result was a clean and simple design approach that followed those foundation themes of openness and transparency that was also fresh, user-friendly and geared to an audience who may not be aware of their rights around access to government information. But they are now!
